Estate Planning

Estate Planning

Planning for your retirement and the eventual distribution of your estate takes many forms. You have worked hard to build up your wealth and you want to make sure your hard work pays off and is appreciated by loved ones. We work with our clients to create plans that will ensure a bountiful retirement and preserve their legacy.

Is Estate Planning right for you? What is estate planning? Estate planning is nothing more than planning for the future. You may be a young family and just starting to build your wealth. What would happen to your children if something were to happen to you? We all drive somewhere and the internet is full of those sad stories. Ask yourself, is it better to put a plan together and make the decisions for your family versus allowing a judge, who does not know you or your family, make the decision of where and how your children will live?

Families are especially in need of proper planning.  If your children are minors, who will take care of them.  Do you want an impersonal legal system who only knows your children by a random number making decisions for you?  I don’t know about you, but I would not want that for my family.  How will the person taking guardianship pay for your children?  Do you have enough cash to pay for college?  I sure did not.  I can help you plan for the future and how to pay for it.

As all good things end, in death sometimes we burden our loved ones the most.  If a loved one has failed to plan, for whatever reason, most estates must be administered through probate before heirs can receive an inheritance.  I have the experience and skill to guide clients through this archaic system.

Then there are cases were our loved ones become afflicted with mind altering disease.  They need someone to look after them, both physically and financially.  I represent families faced with these emotionally draining events.  I have the compassion and experience to help you through the tough times so that everyone can enjoy whatever time they have left with their loved ones.
